• CBRE Capital Advisors acted as Exclusive Financial Advisor to Cottonwood Multifamily Opportunity Fund, Inc., in connection with a stock-for-stock merger agreement with Cottonwood Communities, Inc., a publicly registered non-traded REIT
• The post-merger entity is a $2.5B multifamily REIT comprised of 36 assets across 12 states under the name “Cottonwood Communities”
• The parties expect the post-merger entity to benefit from increased scale, operational efficiencies and enhanced geographic and asset life cycle diversification

CBRE Role

• CBRE Capital Advisors acted as the Exclusive Financial Advisor and delivered a fairness opinion to the independent board of directors of Cottonwood Multifamily Opportunity Fund (CMOF) on the merger with Cottonwood Communities, Inc. (CCI)
• Separately, CBRE Capital Advisors delivered a fairness opinion to the independent board of directors of CMOF on the value of the individual ownership stakes in the CMOF assets
